IBPS RRB Exam: Eligibility Criteria
For all the candidates appearing for IBPS RRB Exam 2017-18 must check the required eligibility criteria, mentioned below in detail.
Eligibility Criteria | Requirement |
Nationality | · A Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or
· A subject of Bhutan or · A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or · A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. |
Age Limit | · For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1977 and later than 30.06.1996 (both dates inclusive)
· For Officer Scale- II (Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1985 and later than 30.06.1996 (both dates inclusive) · For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years – Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1987 and later than 30.06.1999 (both dates inclusive) · For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.07.1989 and later than 01.07.1999 (both dates inclusive) |
Eligibility Criteria | · Candidates must have completed Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. |
Language Proficiency | · Candidates applying for the posts of Office Assistant in any particular RRB are required to possess proficiency in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is situated to be eligible for interview. |
IBPS RRB Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Test Duration
The recruitment for RRB officers is conducted in three phases and each phase is eliminatory in nature. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
