The Integrated Professional Competence Course or as abbreviated IPCC is the second stage of being a CA. This is also conducted by the Institute of Chartered accountants in India (ICAI). The course is called as IPCC and the examination is called as Integrated Professional Competence Examination. One can be eligible for IPCC only after he/she gets through the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). Every Year ICAI publishes the list of the CA IPCC topper. The exam is held twice a year and for every exam ICAI publishes 3 CA IPCC toppers.
CA IPCC Topper
To become a CA IPCC Topper one needs to only practice under the guidance of a teacher or a coaching institute. If one can do that then success is guaranteed. IPCC Number of Attempts
After successfully passing the CPT exam one needs to register for the IPCC examination which is valid for 4 years. Now the IPCC exam is conducted twice a year which eventually becomes 8 attempts. However one can revalidate his/her registration after 4 years. There is a minimal registration fee as prescribed by the ICAI. Once revalidated the registration becomes valid for 4 more years.
Exam Frequency and Eligibility
The examinations for IPCC as said earlier, takes place twice a year and generally on specific dates. These dates generally do not change unless under extraordinary circumstances are created.
- May Examination [2:00 pm to 5:00 pm]
Group-I – 4th,8th,10th,12th of May;
Group-II – 6th,14th,16th of May;
- November Examination [2:00 pm to 5:00 pm]
Group-I – 6th,10th,12th,14th of November;
Group-II – 8th,16th,18th of November;
To be eligible to write IPCC examination there is no age restriction. However, there are minimal educational qualification which one must possess. The educational requirements are:
- A pass in the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) conducted by ICAI, and
- A pass in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or Intermediation Examination or equivalent
The IPCE exam consists of theoretical exams and practical training. The subjects are divided into 2 groups. Group 1 consists of 4 papers of 100 marks each and Group 2 consists of 3 papers of 100 marks each.
Minimum pass percentage is 40% for each subject and overall 50% both the groups taken together.
