Notified for general information amendments relating to Revision in time period for
admission/registration/enrolment to the CMA Foundation/Intermediatd Final Course.
Note: For March 2015 term of Foundation Examination, students admitted upto 21/10/2014 shall be considered, based on the time period of 150 days. The same was notified vide DOS/8/O7/2014-15 dated July 28,2014. There shall be no retrospective effect as the date of approval is 10th November, 2014.
(a) For joining Foundation Course As per existing provisions a candidate can join CMA Foundation Course and offered provisional admission to the Course while pursuing 10+. However, the student shall be eligible to appear Foundation Course after qualifying 10+2 Examination. So, qualifying 10+2 examination makes the student eligible to get converted from Provisional to Regular status. The conversion is done on the basis of submission of application along with the Pass Certificate/ Mark Sheets (qualifying) for Class 10+2.
This provisional time period from his term of admission to the dote of conversion to regular student status is now extended upto 36(thirty six) months instead of 6(six) months
(b) For joining Intermediate Course ( while pursuing their Under Graduate studies)
As per existing provisions a candidate can join CMA Intermediate Course would be offered provisional admission to the Course while pursuing their undergraduate courses/studies. The student shall be eligible to appear Intermediate Course only after qualifying Graduation Examination. So, qualifying Graduation examination makes the student eligible to get converted from Provisional to Regular status.
This provisional time period from his term of admission to the date of conversion to regular student status is now extended upto 18(eighteen) months instead of 6(six) months.
However, students who would be joining Intermediate Course after qualifying CMA Foundation/CS Foundation/Intermediate by whatever name called qualified Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, shall be considered as Regular Students and shall be eligible to appear in Intermediate Course Examination even during their pendency of undergraduate courses.

Last date for seeking admission/ enrolment to ICAI Intermediate and Final Course for June term of examination is 30th November of previous year. Last date for seeking admission/enrolment to ICAI Intermediate and Final Course for December term of examination is 31st May of same year. Last date of seeking admission in Foundation for June term is 31st December of previous year and December term is 30th June of same year w.e.f December 2014 term and onwards. What is the fee structure for joining the CMA course ?
The fee for pursuing the CMA course is as follows :

Cut off Dates for Application to CMA Foundation, Inter, Final Exams
What are the cut off dates for the application for examination ?
Examinations are held twice a year, once in June and another in December. Last dates for application for examination are as follows :

However, a candidate can apply for examination within 10 days after last date with a late fee of Rs/- 300 in addition to the prescribed fees.
What is the fee for examination ?
Examination forms are available at Headquarters, Regional Councils, Chapters on payment of ` 50/- by cash or by DD for students desiring for appearing in Examination Centres in India and US$ 10 for students appearing in Overseas centres. Students may download the examination form from Institute website (www.icmai.in) and pay the cost of form along with examination fees as decided by council from time to time. There is also provision for online filling up of examination form.
Fees to be paid through DD in favour of “The Institute of Cost Accountants of India” payable at Kolkata or pay fee module at PNB/ IDBI Bank or through Debit/Credit Card in case of online filling up of Examination Form.
