Passing Rate Past

The content and the format of the CPA examination changed from 2004. They can format became computerized from a pen and paper examination. Since then, the examination passing rate has changed. The examination passing rate statistics for the last three years is provided below:

CPA results are released as per a predetermined schedule. Below is the schedule for the 2017:

IF CANDIDATE TAKES THE TEST BY: AICPA RECEIVES THE DATA FILE FROM PROMETRIC BY MIDNIGHT RELEASE DATE OF SCORE

All exam data files received by AICPA after March 11 are included in the final target score release date.

Testing Window April / May 2017

IF CANDIDATE TAKES THE TEST BY: AICPA RECEIVES THE DATA FILE FROM PROMETRIC BY MIDNIGHT RELEASE DATE OF SCORE
April/May April 1 – May 31 August 16 – August 18

Since the examination format is set to change from the Q2 testing window, a delay in release of scores can be expected for all candidates. A candidate can expect the results in about 10 weeks from the closing of the testing window. This delay will be due to statistically validate the candidate’s performance on the newly launched a examination.
