The application form will initially register a candidate, give an enrollment number and create a login with a password. GOAPS which is both self-explanatory and user-friendly allows you to enter the data, save the partially filled form, logout, and resume filling the form by logging in again. GATE Application Form Correction 2020 has started
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi has opened the facility for application form correction of GATE 2020 from October 15. Candidates can now make the changes related to their name, father’s name, college name etc in the submitted application form by log in to their GOAPS account during the GATE application form correction period. Candidates will also be required to pay an additional fee to make corrections in the GATE 2020 application form. Registered candidates whose application has error should make sure that they make the necessary GATE 2020 application form correction within the specified time period. Later, the candidates will also be able to change details like exam city, Gender, Category, PwD Status, Dyslexia status, other similar learning disabilities etc. The candidates can also make changes in the marked defect(s) which includes Name, DOB, Details of Parents /Guardian, Correspondence address and Qualifying in application form form for exam of GATE.

How to make corrections in the GATE 2020 application form?
Go to the GOAPS website portal to make the correction in application form of GATE 2020
Login to the website by entering the Enrollment number/Email ID and password.
Now, the candidates can make required changes in the GATE 2019 application form.
If the candidates want to change the exam centre or subject chosen, they will have to pay fees as prescribed by the exam authorities.
Finally, click on the submit button.
You may take a print out of the same for future use.
While a candidate prepares the GATE 2020 application form, there are some points that he/she must note regarding a possible GATE application form correction or GATE modifications.:
- All GATE 2020 applications shall be checked for correctness and any ambiguity shall be informed by e-mail and/or SMS. Candidates should act quickly in GATE 2020 application form correction well before 5th October 2019.
- Only very minor modifications or corrections in name, date of birth, parent’s name, year of qualifying degree are permitted. After submission application, any change of paper is not permitted.
- After submission of the GATE 2020 application form, request to change the examination city will be entertained with a stipulated fee and within a time period only.
- In case of an erroneous or excess debit of money during payment of GATE 2020 application fee, the unaccounted-for excess money will be credited into the same bank account.

The authorities will examine the application form after the submission of GATE 2020 application form by the candidates to verify the authenticity of the provided information. The scrutiny process continues by the exam authorities and in case of any discrepancies in the application form, the zonal authorities contacts the candidate through email or SMS to rectify the details. The candidates can make corrections in the GATE 2020 application form within the specified time. After that, GATE 2020 Application Form correction facility will not be available. The candidates can check their status of application form by logging in to the GOAPS website.
