It is very important to understand the paper pattern and analyze the weak and strong points in all the subjects. Strengthen the weak points and practice the strong points. It’s an old saying “Practice makes the man perfect”. The more you practice the more you understand.

It is not required to go through all the subjects. Analyze which topics and subjects fetch more marks. Focus more on such subjects and prepare accordingly.

  1. Focus on short notes/formula list

Gate is based on conceptual knowledge. Short notes and formula list can help in last moment revision. No new subjects should be studied in the last month just before GATE exam. Students should let go of topics they aren’t well versed with or not really understand. They should focus on the revision of the important topics they are fairly well versed with.

  1. Be calm and healthy

Stress cannot be avoided but can be reduced with good sleep and healthy diet. Give some time to the things which you like. Talk to your family and friends. Do not overstress. Remember “Stress should be a powerful driving force, not an obstacle”.

All the best!!!
