The ACCA Qualification
The ACCA qualification consists of four modules:
Entry Requirements/Eligibility Criteria
Minimum requirement to start the ACCA qualification: Secondary School Education (10+2) covering 5 subjects including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
If you don’t have relevant qualifications (no prior qualifications) you can start with Foundations level
There are multiple entry points to ACCA Qualification which means you don’t have to give all 14 papers. Based on you previous qualifications, you can claim exemptions to skip the Fundamentals level (First 3 or all 9 papers) which allows to complete the qualification sooner.Find out if you qualify for exemptions


How to become a chartered certified accountant with the ACCA Qualification.
- Fundamentals and Professional levels (of 14 exams nine are eligible for exemption)
- 3 years’ work experience in a relevant role
- Ethics – the Professional Ethics module
The Knowledge module comprises of 3 subjects and introduces you to the main areas of financial and management accounting. You will study the other technical accountancy areas after you study this.

Mode: Computer Based Exams (CBEs) and are available on demand
Duration: 2 hours duration 100 marks (2 mark objective test questions)
Pass mark: 50%

Use ACCAs new four session exam model to plan ahead and sit exams whenever suits you
In 2016, ACCA introduced four exam sessions a year, providing aspirants greater flexibility to schedule their exams at a time and pace that suits them.

These four exam cycles a year are for both CBE and paper-based exams. Aspirants are allowed to take a maximum of 4 exams during each exam cycle across a maximum of 8 distinct exams over the course of a calendar year.
Important Dates.
All papers of Knowledge Module (F1-F3) and F4 exam of Skills Module are available as on-demand computer based exams (CBE) which provide students even greater flexibility and convenience.

ACCA Paper requirement to achieve UK registered Auditor status.
To obtain UK or Irish Registered Auditor status, you have to take the UK/Ireland variants of the following papers
- F4 – Corporate and Business Law,
- F6 – Taxation,
- P2 – Corporate Reporting and
- P7 – Advanced Audit and Assurance.
Students who have claimed exemptions from F4 and/or F6 papers have to pass the UK or Irish variants of these papers to become eligible for a practising certificate and audit qualification.
