UPSC PRELIMS EXAM DATE NOTIFICATION
UPSC annual calendar for 2019 holds the notification that the civil services prelims exam would be held on 6th January, 2019. There is still plenty of time for filling out the application form as the date for UPSC Prelims exam application fill up will start from September 26, 2018. So, candidates who are willing to appear for the UPSC Prelims Civil services examination should apply for the same from the official website of UPSC on or before the end date of examination.
UPSC Exam: Educational Qualifications
The educational qualifications required for applying the UPSC exam is a graduation degree in any stream from any recognized University Grants Commission (UGC) affiliated university. Students who are waiting for their final graduation result or appearing in the final exam of their graduation can also apply for the UPSC exam.
UPSC PRELIMS EXAM: Syllabus
For the civil services exam at the prelims level there are mainly two papers:
- General Studies.
- Civil services aptitude test.
The syllabus is nearly the same for the UPSC 2019 as that of UPSC 2018.
Civil services exam paper pattern:
There is three different phases of the UPSC civil services examination which are as follows:
- Preliminary Examination (Written Test)
- Main Examination (Written Test)
- Personality Test (Interview)
All the three phases of civil services examination are conducted in two different languages both in English as well as in Hindi. The time duration for all phases of the exam is two hours each.
